What is Multi-tier Collaboration?

Multi-tier collaboration is the exchange of purchase order and goods receipts information on direct material orders between Molex, component suppliers and contract manufacturers

Contract manufacturers can view copies of orders, order confirmations and Ship Notices

Contract manufacturers can create component receipts on the SAP Business Network as well as cancel them

Contract Manufacturer Responsibilities

  • Confirm all Molex Purchase Orders within 48 hours
  • Re-confirm all Molex Purchase Order Changes (Date, Price, or Quantity) within 48 hours
  • Review Component Supplier Order Confirmations & Changes – advise Molex Buyer of any impacts on Molex or customer deliveries
  • Create component receipts
  • Create ASN (Advanced Shipment Notice) when shipping to Molex or direct to Molex customer
