Purchase Order in SAP Business Network

You are not going to be getting your POs by e-mail anymore.  Suppliers will find their purchase orders by going to the SCC portal.  

Let's enable your PO notifications to become aware of transactions pending your action!

Order Confirmation Required

Suppliers are required to confirm purchase orders in SCC. 

Molex needs the confirmations for our own confidence in factory scheduling and building products. 

Suppliers will no longer confirm by email or outside of SCC.

Advanced Ship Notice in SCC

If the Molex buyer requires an ASN (Advanced Ship Notice) from the supplier, you will need to create the ASN in SCC. 

This automates Molex’s receiving process for the goods being shipped.

Digital Invoicing

Submitting invoices directly in SCC is our preferred invoice channel. This will be a faster way to get the invoice processed and paid. 

Some country invoicing rules don’t allow this, but we are expecting suppliers to submit their invoices in SCC when they can.

SCC has the capability to provide Payment Remittance details.

Business To Business (B2B) Integration

To bypass the need for suppliers to access a portal, we collaborate with our high volume suppliers via B2B (Business to Business) to set up an automated connection to the suppliers ERP system for our SCC transactions.

B2B connections take time & resource commitment to build, test, and cutover for both Molex and the suppliers participating.

Digital Champion

You are going to have to administer your own users in SCC.  Today in SupplierNet Molex sets up all the users.   With SCC, Molex will set up one supplier user which we are calling the Digital Champion. 

The account administrator is responsible for setting up all the users for the supplier.

Molex is transforming digital collaboration with its DIRECT material suppliers by providing a highly efficient procurement system with a solid collaboration platform.  

The SAP Business Network for Supply Chain Collaboration (SCC) project is dedicated to completing a journey that builds a solid foundation for digital collaboration with our Direct material Supplier.  This e-commerce solution will allow Molex to interact digitally using a global procurement network. 

What's in for me?  - With the SAP Business Network for Supply Chain, we are digitizing our Procurement processes and collaboration with suppliers, we are creating an intelligent digital supply chain!
