SRM Overview & Segmentation

Molex Supplier Relationship Management Overview

Our vision is to build long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with strategic suppliers that deliver technology, innovation, and cost advantages—strengthening our competitive position and enabling sustained business success..

Benefits for Our Key Partners:

We engage executive-level, cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across the organization and to accelerate decision-making. We collaborate closely on product and technology roadmaps, so work is focused on shared innovation and measurable outcomes. Through our Co-Development Account Plan (CDAP) we set mutual goals and milestones, and we establish long-term business agreements that include both risk and gain sharing to ensure incentives are aligned. We measure total partnership value—not just individual transactions—and assign a dedicated executive business sponsor who is accountable for the business unit or division P&L and serves as the primary champion for the relationship.

Supplier Segmentation:

ENTERPRISE STRATEGIC (LESS THAN 30)

These suppliers drive enterprise-level value by delivering major innovation and cost advantages that impact overall business strategy and results.

Business Critical Suppliers (100–200)

These suppliers influence financial outcomes within specific business units or divisions and are essential to achieving unit-level performance targets.

Transactional Suppliers (10,000+)

This largest group supports daily operational needs and focuses on reliable, efficient delivery of goods and services that keep the business running.
